Watch Program Overview VideoThe Challenges Teachers Face Today
Students Can't Sit Still
Children struggle to remain seated for learning activities due to poor core strength and underdeveloped motor skills, leading to constant fidgeting and disruption.
Poor Self-Regulation
Impulsive behaviors like calling out and inability to wait their turn are increasing, with many children lacking the basic self-regulation skills needed for classroom learning.
Declining Fine Motor Skills
Handwriting skills are below expected levels, with many children struggling with pencil grip, letter formation, and basic writing tasks, impacting their ability to express ideas.
Teacher Burnout
Educators are spending up to 30-40% of instructional time managing disruptive behavior instead of teaching, leading to frustration, exhaustion, and questioning their effectiveness.
Growth Mindset Barriers
Students with developmental gaps often develop a fixed mindset about their abilities, believing they "can't do it" rather than embracing challenges as opportunities to grow.
Backed by Research: The Power of Movement for Learning
Improvement in concentration through regular movement breaks (International Journal of Educational Research, 2023)
Higher literacy achievement in children with strong fundamental movement skills (Thompson et al., 2021)
Enhanced handwriting skills in students participating in movement programs
Improvement in attention span through core strength development (Wilson & Smith, 2023)

Prep Screening Program
As an Exercise Physiologist and Developmental Educator, I'm thrilled to announce our Prep Screening Program that's helping schools identify and support children's developmental needs early in their educational journey.
Our program uncovers crucial insights about your prep students' developmental readiness for learning, including:
- Primitive reflex integration affecting reading and writing
- Core strength impacting classroom focus and fine motor skills
- Visual tracking essential for literacy
- Balance and coordination development needed for spatial awareness out in the yard
- Bilateral integration needed for complex learning tasks and focus
How it works: One of our experienced early childhood teachers (mentored by me in Developmental Education) visits your school for a morning session. They'll observe your prep class/es and gather detailed data, which I personally analyse to provide comprehensive recommendations tailoured to your group.
Each screening takes just 30-40 minutes per class, minimising disruption to your school day.
Multiple classes: $470 per class for 3+ classes (inc. GST)
The best part? All recommendations can be seamlessly integrated into your existing daily routines, supporting both teachers and students without adding extra workload.

Apply NowTeaching Phonics with Sensori-Motor and Self-Regulation Strategies - Flip Book
Regular price $27.00 Save $-27.00Teaching children to read has become increasingly difficult since the introduction of screens.
In my experience, I believe that this has a lot to do with children's reduce attention span, reduced focus, and lower ability to coordinate their visual tracking and hand-eye coordination skills.
That's why I created this phonics program alongside a primary school teacher who has over 15 years experience in the prep to grade 3 level.
Each letter sound on this flipbook includes a sensori-motor and mindfulness movement for children to complete as you present the letter while everyone is seated.
Don't worry about remembering all of the movements, as there is a QR code on each of the activity cards so children can follow along with the private YouTube video of my children completing the phonics movements.
This program will make a great addition to the foundation literacy block, or as part of your small group reading intervention programs.
The goal behind each of the phonics movements is to promote children's connection with the body awareness, senses, self-regulation, and vagus nerve stimulation. So children aren't only learning their letter sounds, but they're also building up their gross motor and fine motor skills needed for literacy and mathematics.
All of these movements are done by the children while sitting on the floor. No equipment is needed for the children.
This phonics program was inspired by my collaboration with a passionate primary school teacher who highlighted children's difficulty with maintaining focus and attention during phonics activities.
The letter sound choices are inspired by the Spalding Phonics Program.
I am so excited to share this program into the world because I really feel that this sensori-motor program will have a positive impact not only on literacy, but also on focus and behaviour.

Reading with Confidence: Building the Essential Skills for Focus and Reading Development
Regular price $129.00 Save $-129.00
Reading with Confidence
Do these moments sound familiar in your home or classroom?
- "I just can't do it!" – Your child throws the book across the room in frustration
- Watching tears well up when it's reading time again
- Hearing "I'm just not good at reading" from a child who's brilliant in other areas
- Noticing your child constantly fidgeting, losing their place, or complaining of headaches during reading
- That sinking feeling when comparing your child's progress to their classmates
Welcome to the "Reading with Confidence" course—where we understand that behind every reading struggle is a child who deserves to experience the joy of reading without frustration or tears. As parents and educators, we feel your concern when a child struggles with reading, and we've created this comprehensive program to address not just the symptoms but the underlying developmental foundations that make reading possible.
Developed through years of working with children who found reading challenging, this course goes beyond traditional approaches by focusing on the physical, sensory, and regulatory skills that are often overlooked but crucial for reading success. We'll guide you through simple, playful activities that can transform reading from a source of anxiety to a source of confidence and pleasure for the children in your care.
What You'll Learn
This course is designed to give you practical, effective tools that work in real homes and real classrooms with real children. Throughout the modules, you'll discover how to:
- Integrate Essential Reflexes: Unlock the mystery behind why some children struggle to track words across a page or sit still during reading. Learn gentle, playful movements that help integrate reflexes like STNR, ATNR, VOR, and Galant—creating the neurological foundation for reading success.
- Encourage Crossing the Midline: Discover why this seemingly simple ability to reach across the body is actually crucial for reading fluency, and how to nurture this skill through fun, dance-like activities that children actually enjoy doing.
- Improve Visual Tracking: Before a child can recognize sight words, their eyes need to move smoothly across text. Learn engaging games that strengthen eye muscles and tracking ability—turning a clinical skill into a delightful play experience.
- Enhance Spatial Awareness: Help children develop a strong sense of where their body is in space, directly improving their ability to navigate a page of text. These movement activities double as family fun or classroom brain breaks!
- Promote Self-Regulation: Transform reading sessions with simple techniques that help children stay calm and focused. These tools aren't just for reading time—they're life skills that help in all learning situations.
- Build Core Strength: Understand the surprising connection between wobbly sitting and reading difficulties. Learn playful strengthening activities that help children maintain comfortable posture without constant reminders to "sit still."
